My comment on Ottawa's LRT problems is strictly my own uninformed opinion.
You may be right about Ottawa's BRT capacity. It was designed to be upgradable to rail (clearances, structural load bearing), and the BRT reached 90% capacity in 1996 for the number of *buses* used (180/hr), not for the number of passengers transported (it's been a decade since I learned this stuff, haven't researched since)

#Bus fare for #disabled people with a designated ID card is $0.85 which is really annoying cause it means I literally have dozens upon dozens of $0.15 change cards that I will probably never use cause unless it is a real emergency I'm not gonna just scan 6 cards to ride the bus even though I could do so many times over for free essentially and it's just easier using a dollar to pay since I save my quarters up for laundry.

Attending an event a couple towns over, about 16 miles from my house. Trying to figure out #PublicTransit because driving sucks. The trip planner on the web suggests a route that has me departing at 10:25 in the morning and taking four buses to arrive at my destination by 3:43 in the afternoon. (Event starts at 4:00.) 
Google Maps suggests it will take 21 minutes to drive from my house.

I'm grateful to be effectively elected to the BART Board of Directors, representing District 3. Things become official in November.
My team’s strategy of starting early and my being engaged in this work for over a decade paid off and the filing deadline went by with no one else filing to run. This means that I'll not be on your ballot, and that makes me a little sad.
I've marked many milestones since the start of COVID by doing a recreation. And here's one inspired by Rosie the Riveter, that celebrates this moment.
I picked the iconic Rosie the Riveter image since it's connected to the City of Richmond, which is in my district, but with colors to match the BART logo and instead of rolling up my sleeves the pose celebrates strength. Though truth be told, knowing that BART is in a fiscal deficit due to COVID and underinvestment in our public transit systems, the work is just beginning.
