As to why crabs are expensive. Well, the segment explains some reasons why:
- Crab population drop
- Crabs depending on the type takes 5-10 years to grow to a big size
- Crabs are cannibalistic, they eat their babies and even other, making it difficult to farm. There was an attempt to farm them, but the population from that attempt only bought 22% in the 2nd year, from the dismal 7% from the first, far from the 60% surival rate

With that, the reason crabs are expensive is that the cannibalize each other.
