CarveHerName<p><a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/OnThisDay" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>OnThisDay</span></a>, 11 Mar 1959, Lorraine Hansberry's play, A Raisin in the Sun, is the first play by a Black woman to debut on Broadway.</p><p>Hansberry was a rising star when she died young of cancer.
