Hannah Howe<p>The Daleks first appeared on British television on 21 December 1963 (just a glimpse on that occasion; they were fully revealed the following week). </p><p>The seven-part serial was written by Welshman Terry Nation, thus beginning a long Welsh association with the series. Hannah Howe<p>On 5 August 1926 Warner Brothers produced the first Vitaphone movie,&nbsp;Don Juan&nbsp;(the third highest grossing film of the year).
