Pinned tabs = commitment. What’s one tab that has earned a permanent spot in your browser?
Friday fact: If you close all your tabs, they can’t stress you out anymore.
Introduction post with lots of hashtags
New me, new #Introduction, I guess
I'm an #ActuallyAutistic #Queer person in #Edinburgh, #Scotland. I usually post about my interests or random thoughts in my head. I also often complain about technology around me. I also like to read about sustainability.
What you should know is I'm lactose intolerant. So please keep dairy away from my feed, haha.
I like watching #SciFi ( #StarTrek, #StarGate, #DoctorWho, and others), but I also like #MurderMystery. If you don't want to be murdered, don't go to Cabot Cove (#MurderSheWrote). Occasionally I watch some #musical.
I try to get better at Go (#weiqi, #baduk)
For games I usually play on my #NintendoSwitch and #BoardGames
#TheHobbit is still my favourite book, but I also like #MissMarple, #Poirot, and #SherlockHolmes. #TheHitchhikersGuideToTheGalaxy series is great. So is #Discworld by #TerryPratchett. Enjoyed #EarthSea series.
I like to drink #Tea, especially #GreenTea. Enjoy animated shows like #Daria, #Amphibia, #TheOwlHouse, #ScoobyDoo, #GravityFalls, #BobsBurgers, #SpyXFamily, #InvaderZim, #DuckTales, #AvatarTheLastAirbender, #SpongeBob, and others
Occasionally watch some #KDrama
Fan of #sriracha
Refurbished #ThinkPad user running #Linux (now #Fedora with #XFCE if you're into that kind of thing)
There are two kinds of people in this world:
Which one are you?
@eniko I'm just content with specifying an alternative to #YAML because #tabs are better than #spaces, #Markdown and äTSV's are awesome and YAML is cringe...
Vivaldi 6.9: tab management leveled up and more efficient browsing.
@contrefeu @waifu I find #YAML so cringe I literally proposed [github.com] #YADL as an alternative that uses #Tabs not #Spaces and includes #Markdown but better...
@LunaDragofelis @dysfun @left_adjoint welcome to the club... points at a huge-ass libraries of old unfinished projects
May I fancy you with a box of #YADL?
Emacs seems to hate tabs. I really wish I could make it understand that I don’t like mixing tabs with spaces… I need “tabs only” mode %) Any ideas?
indent-tabs-mode t, standard-indent 4, lisp-body-indent 4, lisp-indent-offset nil:
(setq default-frame-alist
⇥␣␣'((tab-bar-lines . 1)
⇥⇥(fullscreen . maximized)
⇥⇥(vertical-scroll-bars . nil)
⇥⇥(horizontal-scroll-bars . nil)))

parens-require-spaces nil does not seem to affect anything, so it is, probably, for something else.
There are two types of #Tabs people.
1-4 Tabs open

You’re on a linux-y machine and you want to convert tabs in a file to spaces (say, two) and your editor doesn’t support that (hello, Helix
expand my.file -t 2 > my.file.tmp && mv my.file.tmp my.file
(Updated as original version just deletes the original file.)
(Or pipe to sponge but sponge isn’t available by default.)
#WhatsMissing: a #TUI-based #Office #Suite using modern & lean file formats:
A #markdown-based #Layouting & #DesktopPublishing tool that can basically handle #LaTeX and spit out #HTML as well as #PDF…
A #TSV (because #tabs are better than #spaves and people use commas if they follow Genevan Nomenclature of Mathematics; also it should just store data, not manipulate it (or even if it should only display the results when asked to and instead store the Function for the cell I.e. =A1*B1
…
A simple and elegant #presentation tool (may just be a few presets for the #Editor)…
A small and nifty #FormulaEditor that allows converting regular math formulas pleasingly by converting them into LaTeX - Syntax for use in said documents.
Bonus points if it's also a scientific calculator with formula plotter supporting 2D and 3D outputs as well as export into tables.
A #database & #API tool that allows downloading, uploading, syncing and comparing #SQL and #NoSQL-DBs, their entries as well as queries.
A #notetaking tool that integrates with #git and allows both #versioning and #collaboration this way...
A minimalist #TUI menu that may also help setup #versioning (i.e. #git) and #collaboration (i.e. #Nextcloud) and #sync (i.e. #SFTP / #SSHFS, #SMB, Nextcloud, …) as well as other nice settings for most things.
A draw.io - alike #diagram editor that can handle #XML and also basic markdown as import & export language and has powerful self-layouting options.
A #terminal #screenshot tool alike the one The DOS compatibility card [www.youtube.com] offered with #DOSCLIP ...
OF course given that (almost) all of this can be done with #neovim and a few other tools it's unlikely to get made...
Guys I can't print tabs and I hate having my computer along when I'm playing the kalimba - for number tabs, even if it takes hours at a time, would you recommend writing them instead of paying to print them? Should I get music paper as a commodity? I can't use ruling on normal paper because the paper we have is printed on the other side #tabs #music #kalimba #instrument #musicsheet #musician #printing
