Spark<p>Here’s the result of my little <a href="https://social.makerforums.info/tags/airbrush" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>airbrush</span></a> (or better masking) session last night. It isn’t much, but it’s honest work. 😅 Today I had to clean my shop as I had a private <a href="https://social.makerforums.info/tags/repairCafe" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>repairCafe</span></a> at home. The FiL came with their bed frame which needed to be reglued. <a href="https://social.makerforums.info/tags/StarWars" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>StarWars</span></a> <a href="https://social.makerforums.info/tags/cosplay" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>cosplay</span></a> <a href="https://social.makerforums.info/tags/3DPrinting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>3DPrinting</span></a> <a href="https://social.makerforums.info/tags/wip" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>wip</span></a></p>
Spark<p>Last night I continued <a href="https://social.makerforums.info/tags/airbrush" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>airbrush</span></a> ing the Samurai Oni mask. I sprayed some black wash into all the crevices to darken them again and bring back the depth. After that I prepared him for his teeth „bleaching“ with white ink. <a href="https://social.makerforums.info/tags/3dPrinting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>3dPrinting</span></a> <a href="https://social.makerforums.info/tags/cosplay" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>cosplay</span></a> <a href="https://social.makerforums.info/tags/wip" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>wip</span></a> <a href="https://social.makerforums.info/tags/MakersHour" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MakersHour</span></a></p>
Dingo<p>My third custom painted <a href="https://cr8r.gg/tags/gunpla" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>gunpla</span></a> -- MG 1/100 MS-09H Dwadge Custom (as seen in the animated series Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ, piloted by Desert Rommel).</p><p>The full piece is titled "WAR READY". It is my first diorama and my first time using add on parts and epoxy putty to add detail, as well as creating foliage and rock effects. Completed as a part of the 2024 <a href="https://cr8r.gg/tags/CeruleanProject" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CeruleanProject</span></a> </p><p><a href="https://cr8r.gg/tags/hobby" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>hobby</span></a> <a href="https://cr8r.gg/tags/hobbyverse" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>hobbyverse</span></a> <a href="https://cr8r.gg/tags/airbrush" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>airbrush</span></a> <a href="https://cr8r.gg/tags/handpainting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>handpainting</span></a> <a href="https://cr8r.gg/tags/minaturepainting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>minaturepainting</span></a> <a href="https://cr8r.gg/tags/diorama" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>diorama</span></a> <a href="https://cr8r.gg/tags/gundam" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>gundam</span></a> <a href="https://cr8r.gg/tags/anime" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>anime</span></a></p>

Spark<p>Despite being still sick, I managed to put on the last touches of my female boxer <a href="https://social.makerforums.info/tags/Figurine" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Figurine</span></a>. I used little Mac from Punch-Out as an inspiration for the colors, but ended up following it very loosely. I redid the midriff after messing up with a wash on the abs. I really should have cleaned the print more as there are some spots very it would‘ve been necessary. But it can’t be helped now. Backlog is too big. 😅 <a href="https://social.makerforums.info/tags/3DPrinting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>3DPrinting</span></a> <a href="https://social.makerforums.info/tags/airbrush" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>airbrush</span></a> <a href="https://social.makerforums.info/tags/miniaturePainting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>miniaturePainting</span></a> <a href="https://social.makerforums.info/tags/MakersHour" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MakersHour</span></a></p>
Spark<p>While painting <a href="https://social.makerforums.info/tags/Gunpla" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Gunpla</span></a> I learned a thing. 😅 It seems Liquitex inks don’t like varnish thinned with airbrush thinner (Vallejo). What is weird is that the other parts didn’t start to lose their paint. Just this one. Maybe the mix in the cup was uneven and here there was more thinner than varnish? 🤔 Next time I will thin it with just water. <a href="https://social.makerforums.info/tags/airbrush" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>airbrush</span></a> <a href="https://social.makerforums.info/tags/miniaturePainting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>miniaturePainting</span></a> <a href="https://social.makerforums.info/tags/Gundam" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Gundam</span></a></p>
Spark<p>I also did some <a href="https://social.makerforums.info/tags/airbrush" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>airbrush</span></a> with a nice female boxer figurine, which I want to paint in the style of little Mac from Punch-Out! 😄 Here are some of the stages of getting the skin tone done. First after a black/white zenithal is a magenta (pinkish purple) for the lighter parts. Then a red ink for the shadows. After that a 50/50 thinned basic skin tone. And a layer of a darker one for the shadows and a light one for the highlights. <a href="https://social.makerforums.info/tags/3dPrinting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>3dPrinting</span></a> <a href="https://social.makerforums.info/tags/figurines" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>figurines</span></a> <a href="https://social.makerforums.info/tags/MiniaturePainting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MiniaturePainting</span></a></p>
Spark<p>Now for another thing of the bucket list, I guess. I bought another <a href="https://social.makerforums.info/tags/Gunpla" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Gunpla</span></a> kit (this time an EG), to use as a test subject for panel scribing and painting, before I do what I planned for the HG Aerial kit. I did remove all the parts and for the first steps I sanded and primed them. After that I‘ll try pre shading and candy color for some. <a href="https://social.makerforums.info/tags/Gundam" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Gundam</span></a> <a href="https://social.makerforums.info/tags/airbrush" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>airbrush</span></a> <a href="https://social.makerforums.info/tags/MiniaturePainting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MiniaturePainting</span></a></p>
Spark<p>I am still sick. But at least I can do some light work. Like preparing models for the painting. But it kinda looks like a psycho‘s lair with all the separate body parts. 😅 <a href="https://social.makerforums.info/tags/3DPrinting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>3DPrinting</span></a> <a href="https://social.makerforums.info/tags/Airbrush" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Airbrush</span></a> <a href="https://social.makerforums.info/tags/figurines" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>figurines</span></a> <a href="https://social.makerforums.info/tags/MiniaturePainting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MiniaturePainting</span></a></p>
Dingo<p>My second custom painted <a href="https://cr8r.gg/tags/gunpla" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>gunpla</span></a> — MG 1/100 RX-79[G] Gundam Ground Type (as seen in one of my favorite Gundam side stories “The 08th MS Team”). My first foray into shading with an airbrush. <a href="https://cr8r.gg/tags/hobby" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>hobby</span></a> <a href="https://cr8r.gg/tags/hobbyverse" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>hobbyverse</span></a> <a href="https://cr8r.gg/tags/airbrush" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>airbrush</span></a> <a href="https://cr8r.gg/tags/miniaturepainting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>miniaturepainting</span></a> <a href="https://cr8r.gg/tags/gundam" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>gundam</span></a> <a href="https://cr8r.gg/tags/anime" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>anime</span></a></p>

Question!</p><p>Today I wanted to varnish a miniature and my airbrush was having a reflux. It took me a while to realise that the issue was dried paint in a place I have little clue how to clean. </p><p>Look at the picture. It's a Harder &amp; Steinbeck Infinity CR plus. The dried paint was around that inner ring, and most specially was in the little aperture between the screw rail and the flat part of the ring. </p><p>I tried disassembling it, but it's so hard that I fear I could break it or that I'm missing the right tool to do it. </p><p>How do you clean it? or prevent paint from accumulating there? Thx!</p>
