TheZeldaZone👑🏳️‍⚧️🎮🎀<p>This is kind of +/-, and the TV show remembers this is a thing, but in the games the marines shit their pants when they see you. You're hope. You're relief. TheZeldaZone👑🏳️‍⚧️🎮🎀<p>I think what I and a lot of fans would have enjoyed more is a NEW, CANON story, kind of like how Strange New Worlds is handled for Star Trek vs how Kelvinverse did things.</p><p>Didn't deserve to be canceled though. Do watch IMO. If you're THAT skeptical, at least watch the first and last episodes of both seasons. TheZeldaZone👑🏳️‍⚧️🎮🎀<p>Despite the divergence from the main canon, a ton of respect is there for Halo's art direction and to a lesser extent the music (the music IS good there's just...not a lot). All the weapons, ships, Covenant aliens look perfect. </p><p>There's a lot of Blah Blah Blah drama but it works pretty well, they touch on a lot of the books' themes well despite, you know, jumbling around all of the real events there. It's not a dealbreaker but like 50% of the show or more could have easily had John in the suit. John's actor is fine, but the expressions do not justify the lack of suit not one bit.</p><p>The Chosen One plot for John/Mckee/Kwan is bad and they should feel bad. Not a deal breaker, but very bad. Cut a few (kwan) episodes per season, add another major fight and the flow is good</p><p>Halsey's actor is great. Repulsive. Infuriating.</p><p>Covenant stuff is great, but you can feel the budget crunch. Very little covenant stuff.</p><p>Like all modern TV, it ends on a cliffhanger and was canceled.
