Anime Animals アニメの動物
Comparing the production value of the stage performances of NijiFes to HoloFes in 2025 is seriously night and day.

It feels like Niji tech is still back in the era of hololive 1st FES.
- The background's are obviously 2D compared to hololive's 3D stages, which makes it look like the Livers are simply performing in front of a green screen. Holo's stages have 'virtual 2D screens' in 3D frames that help with the 3D illusion
- It doesn't help that the choreography involves significant left-right movement without much forward-backward movement. Hololive had similar issues in old FES performances, but they've improved with better camerawork and choreography. Niji feels stuck in 2020
- The livers have uncanny barely-blinking eyes with old fashioned shading, holomem blinking eye and coloring are literally galaxies in comparison. Quite a few long shots of holomems show them blinking, a significant improvement in eye tracking
- The liver 3D models don't have much skin shading, so their bodies look shiny white
- There's some color issues that make the whites blindingly white, and because most livers bodies are that same white, and lots of costumes are mainly white, watching it is painful to the eyes
- The camerawork somehow got less dynamic, that camera angle from backstage showing the back of the Liver and the audience from the 2025 countdown is gone

This is all very odd, because a bunch of their newer 3D Lives are comparable to hololive's, but why is their big company event so... cheap looking??

#hololive #Nijisanji #hololivefesEXPO25
