The young woman had always appreciated the multi-tailed tricksters and believed they’d been a big influence on her life. Though the normal tribute was to burn a single stick of incense during a prayer, Yukiko believed the fox spirits deserved more. She had bundled 72 sticks together—eight for each of an ancient kitsune’s nine tails—and lit them at once. She knelt to pray and contemplate, illuminated by the orange fire before her.

Her focus shattered as the light rapidly intensified. The entire bundle of incense was consumed in a brilliant white light; the flames were intense rose. A shape appeared—one that Yukiko immediately recognized—as her eyes adjusted. It was a kitsune, one of the very spirits she’d longed for, scarcely larger than a housecat. The mythical vulpine cast a perfect figure of femininity, with strength and softness in equal measure, wrapped in fur as pure as freshly fallen snow.

“Hello,” the kitsune spoke in deep, melodic tones. “I am Indigo. And you are…?”

“Yukiko!” the human blurted. She clasped her hands over her mouth. How dare she talk to a kitsune like that! She bowed her head in apology and shame.

Indigo laughed warmly at the reaction. “Thank you for such a generous gift, Yukiko.” The spirit moved closer, flashing three tails tipped in rose flame. “Humans rarely offer such big gifts these days.” Her body brightened for a moment as she absorbed more of the fire. Yukiko looked up to investigate and gasped as she discovered Indigo’s true size.

The instant that thought crossed Yukiko’s mind, Indigo’s body flared again, this time before the human’s eyes. The human had been making eye contact with the kitsune; now, she stared at the heavy breasts of a vixen a meter taller than her. “I’m going outside,” Indigo declared. “Care to join me?” The human scrambled to her feet and nearly tripped over her own excitement. Indigo’s strides were slow and deliberate, paced to allow the human to follow. After another surge of light, Indigo ducked beneath the shrine’s entrance to leave it.

Indigo crouched and gently took Yukiko’s hand in her paw. A mischievous grin—the smile of a trickster—crossed Indigo’s muzzle before her body shone like a shooting star. Yukiko shielded her eyes with her free arm and felt herself move skywards, towards the very clouds. As the light dimmed, the human slowly opened her eyes and stared in silent awe at the kitsune she had summoned.

Yukiko fit comfortably in Indigo’s palm as the kitsune loomed a hundred meters above the earth. She was held just below the giantess’ chest; her view of the Indigo’s muzzle was framed by breasts like hills. The human was stunned in awe, caught between politely gazing up at the spirit or worshipfully bowing beneath her. Indigo’s thumb curled in and gently brushed the woman’s cheek to reassure her. She’d already done so much.

“Now, Yukiko…” Indigo spoke barely above a whisper, yet each syllable hammered against the human’s heart and mind. She towered over the nearby shrine and put it to shame. The ground itself yielded beneath the tons of weight upon the vixen’s pawpads. “Since you offered such a large tribute, how can I thank you?”

[Yukiko]: From Japanese 幸 (yuki) meaning "happiness" or 雪 (yuki) meaning "snow" combined with 子 (ko) meaning "child".
