There was some hail this morning, so I thought I'd take a picture of one of my nearly finished lights to show you. I might add some red stitches to this to support the red lights here, as they are a bit sparse. Those are made after Trichia decipiens (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trichia_decipiens).
Little drawing with his wip that I haven't shared until now.
It's curious how this Star Wars I scene made such an impression on me.
Now i'm still thinking about how to use it, maybe as an alert on my twitch channel, or as a redirect page on my website, I'll see. Anyway, I like this funny little droid :D
Meg - another OC. This drawing took me five hours. #Procreate #wip #DigitalArt #OC

Salish Sea Sunrise - 4th session
I worked another hour on this piece in between rain bursts when it was too dark to mix colours. I'm slowly building up the details of the background, hoping to get the glow of the source photo. Then once the background is better established I'll start incorporating those colours into my ferry riding chicken person who is missing the beautiful scene because her book is just too good.
Die Fische machen mich fertig und die Perspektive stimmt irgendwie auch nicht ganz. Aber ich werd wirklich besser im Umgang mit Aquarellfarben. #mastoart #wip #kleinekunstklasse

Random midweek experiments: I wondered if I'd be able to get a smooth blend from quite dark to quite bright going brown-to-ivories, without resorting to an airbrush. I think the answer is definitely 'no', at least with this approach. It gives its own effect though, the scratchiness of it could probably be read as weathering? I'll have to give stippling a try.
Batman is pretty much done. Going to finish the little bottom portion and then move the frame to work on Hello Kitty. This is going pretty quick and I did some ad lib on the coloring for some parts.
There's going to a heart over top shining down which is why a part of batman head is grey but I'm not married to this and might just frog that bit and replace it with what the rest of the head is.
Another addition to the painted ranks of the #StirRiverPatrol. A regiment of crossbows.
That’s 27/43 minis painted and that’s 328/500pts - past the halfway mark. Really happy with how this is all coming along. Block of 15 Spears is a bit daunting but I think leaving it to last will be its own motivation.

I've started on my next 16x20 painting. The early stages of painting always look so ridiculous. These three photos represent four hours of work today.
The remainder of my day was spent doing housework and having an electrician and county permit person by to inspect some emerg ency work we had done at the end of last year.
If you’re wondering why there’s a rosier dot at the tip of her nose - I experimented a bit with putting blush in her cheeks before the base skin tone, and I love the subtle glow it gave me. Her nose is just waiting to be sewn.
