@kkarhan@infosec.space@figuratum @jwildeboer There's however a reason why USB-C maxes out at 48V DC @ 5A and if you need strain relief and unplug/pull prevention there are "#Neutrik-Cinnectors" which basically take the keyed shield & latch from #XLR and just insert a different plug into those.
This morning my PC (wired to the LAN) was off the network while the Mac next to it (WiFi connected) was networking fine. To see if it was the PC or the switch, I fired up the Amiga 2000 and loaded the network MOD player, IMP. Got online no problem, so I rebooted the PC. Problem solved.
And I ended up listening to some sweet tracker tunes all the workday long.

Broke the "RJ45 nose" on my longest cat-5 #ethernet cable.
Was angry at me (and the inventor), then remembered there is a 3d printed replacement for it. Looks like I have to fire up the printer soon (which I also need to do because there are #CatEars for my Sony ANC headphones)...

But sadly you've to move to like #Seoul to get #SKtelecom #FTTH which offer like 10GBit/s and you may at worst bundle like 10 of those #Ethernet-based links together...
But yeah, I think there should be a mandate to provide FTTH to every home with no installation fees!
