Annual spring snowflake excursion - this time shot backlit with a wide angle lens. I got a used Tamron 15-30mm Gen1 for cheap a few months back, which lead to the current sunstar addiction. It may take another couple of months to get that out of the system.

Mid-March and Reynisfjara¹, the famous black beach in southern #Iceland, is completely deserted apart from ourselves.

Smoky sunrise. Sunrise at the Tallgrass Prairie Preserve a couple of years ago.
There were multiple wind-driven wildfires yesterday afternoon and night. One moved into the town of Mannford and claimed several buildings and homes. Air quality with dust and smoke hit 333 at 01:00 CDT this morning. Coverage, other than local news and spotters, was dismal. The fires did not make it to INCIWeb or MODIS. Only the Infrared satellites and the GOES-East Fire Temperature maps showed the fires. That lack of information made it difficult to keep friends without TV access informed.
hello there, I'm back. I had no internet for 5 days straight and had some minor damage around the house due to the cyclone.
Here is a Dragon for you. I think it might like salty water. Or maybe it just came to see the sunset? Or possible it is just a Sea Dragon coming back home.
