@VeroniqueB99 Also, the U.S. pays more public money per-capita for healthcare by a long way, because the $$$ private system drives up costs for Medicare, Medicaid, and Veterans' benefits. So Americans don't even have the (tiny) consolation of saving on their taxes by doing without universal healthcare.
Example: in 2022, U S. per-capita Public funding for healthcare was US $12,555, compared to U.S. $6,319 in Canada.

This proposed HHS rule change to ACA is bad across the board. These are just 3 issues:
1 - It blocks DACA people from accessing and receiving subsidies from the ACA.
2 - It *prohibits* ACA plans from covering transgender affirming care.
3 - Creates new hurdles to maintain coverage. One of them is an algorithm that assesses what HHS thinks your income *should* be, which then requires you to prove your income.
