White-Tailed Eagle
After seeing a pair soaring over a glen this past week, I started to think about adventures I've enjoyed out west, watching these majestic birds.
Here's a photo from a Mull Charters trip, to see the eagles close up.

The huge beak never fails to impress

"My" pair of white-tailed eagles raised three young last year and at least one this year.
May next year bring lots of fluffy balls!
Chasing the big ones:

Today I had the closest flyover of the local #WhiteTailedEagle pair ever - but unfortunately I didn't have my camera at hand. A few minutes later, the pair flew over me again, unfortunately not so close, and I was able to take a few photos after all. Unfortunately, there was little light and the photos are less detailed than I had hoped.
This one is still nice.
Looking for Coffee:
‘Our’ white-tailed eagle is once again looking after its eyrie and territory.
I haven't seen it since early summer, so I was all the more pleased today.
(It is currently growing new primary feathers).
