My Happy Marriage is back, though briefly, with the series' first OVA. Opening with Miyo putting future sister-in-law Hazuki's etiquette training to use at a party, this episode is a more in-depth take on the finale of season 1. This time, rather than using the party to focus on Miyo's growth as in the finale, here the party is really just a backdrop for a series of vignettes that set up the second season.

Gaku and Haru have been friends since middle school, even though they make a bit of an odd pair. It all started when tall, handsome, charismatic Haru stepped in to beat up a group of delinquents who were about to steal the diminutive bespectacled Gaku’s brand new laptop—the one he’d saved up for ten years to buy. When Gaku returns the favor by hacking into the CCTV and deleting the evidence of Haru’s violence to prevent him from being expelled, the nerdy boy knows that he’s just sealed his own fate.

First Impression: Mecha-Ude: Mechanical Arms

"So, to sum up Hikaru's story," says one of Hikaru's friends, as they walk to school in a futuristic Japanese city, "last night, Hikaru, a troubled third year in Kitakagami junior high school, was gazing at the starry sky, as he often does..." We see a shoujo protagonist screaming with passion. "No. I thought I heard a voice outside my window," interrupts our grumpy, phone-absorbed protagonist, who is far from his friend's depiction of him.

First Impression: 365 Days To The Wedding

Takuya Ohara and Rika Honjoji are coworkers at a travel agency, but despite working in the same office, they don't often talk to each other. You see, they're both introverts, so neither of them goes out of their way to speak to anyone if they can help it. They're not proud of their lack of social skills though, and they both wish they were better at communicating with their colleagues.

Sport runs in the veins of the Inomata family. In her time, Taichi's mother played basketball at the same high school her son goes to. First Impression: Kimi ni Todoke, Season 3

Sometimes a first date is more than just a first date. For Kazeyaha and Kuronuma, it's the culmination of the feelings that have been developing and growing between them for many months. In fact, on their date, Kuronuma even gives Kazehaya gifts related to her history of pining for him—a strap to match the one he once gave her (to which he admits that it wasn't just a "gift exchange" sort of present but something more special), a knit cap to replace the one her dad assumed was for him, and Valentine's Day chocolates that she "wanted to give him, but couldn't." But as big as this step is for these two, the first date is just the first; there are both milestones and challenges ahead as they seek to discover what it means to be a good girlfriend and boyfriend respectively, and as they (duh duh duh!) meet one another's parents!
