More of my favorite buildings around the NC Renaissance Festival. The fourth photo is a Pumpkin Ale by Foothills Brewing, one of my favorites to drink during the autumn season. Make sure you bring cash as the drink vendors do not take credit or debit! Also, make sure you stop by the chimney rolls vendor. There is always a long line, but the chimney rolls are definitely worth it! Plus, it's fun watching the pastries being prepared! Shot in November 2024.

"Golden Drapery", Scotland's Ancient Caledonian Forest (2024).

A crown of floating pines. This is a common occurrence on Scottish lochs and tells a deeper story of the #landscape. Deer can't access these islands and so isolated patches of ancient woodland remain unscathed — if we look across the shore, we see the barren backdrop beyond. I loved the way these backlit #autumn birch leaves framed the scene, giving a sense of time and place.

The NC Renaissance Festival has no shortage of cool looking buildings and shops, full of handmade merch! One thing to note is that this particular Ren faire is seasonal and is only open usually around late Sept until mid November. Tickets sell out fast!
