I joined a local Urban Sketchers group yesterday and after living so long in a place where there was none, it was so nice and refreshing to meet likeminded creative people.

Can't wait for the next meetup...

Also as you can see I chose some very nice urban architecture as a subject with lots of colorful trash cans. It was a blast! (Kind of accidentally inspired others to paint them too. ooops)

A lady stands at the counter of the building in the sketch, which is long gone in the photo. Where did she go? Why didn't she buy anything? We will never know. But for a short moment she was captured in this loose sketch with no name, a silhouette of a friend, we haven't met yet.

Dark and a little creepy, or colourful and whimsical? Which side of my art do you prefer?

I’ve never been able to stick to one specific niche with my creations and don’t think I ever will because I can’t see myself setting boundaries to my creativity.

Sure, certain themes, like forest or fantasy, are almost omnipresent, but even these aren’t a must when I’m creating.
