Read an article today that unfortunately now I can't find again, but it was regarding people dying in Tesla fires bc the door handles don't work when the car loses power.

Author's thesis was that this is a design decision made due to Musk's apartheid-era (and probably present day, too, tbh) fear of an angry mob dragging him out of his car, thus, door handles that can't be opened from outside.

Look, I don't want to say that the Graef CM800 is a really bad grinder, especially for Espresso (it is o.o).
What I do say is: Whoever designed that burr chamber and exit chute, has really earned a spanking.

I was deep-cleaning it to gift it to my parents for use with their Bialetti, since they don't have a grinder (well they have one of those pesky beater blade mills that is unusable).
And while the Graef is not Espresso capable (despite claiming to be), it should grind half-decent enough for a Moka pot like the Bialetti.

Still cleaning that thing was annoying and kinda gross.
So much old coffee got stuck in there.
Again no, the white stuff is not mold, it's grind cleaner that got stuck as well. Tells you something about the design of the burr chamber.
Also, those screws are not meant to be taken out, since they only cut into the plastic underneath and will wear out quickly.
Got it cleaned, it is ready to go again

Overall, bad design, can not recommend, even as a Pour-over grinder.
Seriously, get a decent hand-grinder for that price tag (~110€)
