RLB: Looks like I'm going to have to move servers again, with very little notice.
Looking for a musician oriented server that's participating in FediPact. Suggestions welcome!

Keep getting the odd email from Kompoz that reminds me of the music collabs I was involved in on there. I did enjoy the songs that came out of the collabs back then, but working on "Ash time" (it's flexible and endless sometimes!!!) wasn't fair on others, and was a bit of a stress to me too. When I was doing collabs like chopping tracks up and adding my own stuff on top of others parts without any kind of "how about you do this instead" worked better for me. #fedimusic
Y'all, I'm crying happy tears for once.
@MTP just made my day and week by sending me his newest CD all the way from Wales to the formerly USA! For free & with a beautiful handwritten note, all because I bought and loved his first album.

You are NOT alone and there are other good people out here. Find the others.
@limebar Do you think you might be able to help get him setup of #Faircamp and/or #TheIndieBeat
Noodling a bit on the piano and I came upon this sound for Zelda's Lullaby. Wanted to share it...
Strange how the moment you press the record button, mistakes start happening. The psyche is tricky to overcome.
I want to imbue this melody with cozy warmth, which is hard when mistakes keep causing frustration.
So I finalized this even though it's imperfect. At least you know it's not AI. :D
I wrote a new song about a topic that that concerns us all: pirate weasels!

This past week has been tremendous in terms of Fedi releases.
It began on Monday with the release of the Comfy Collaborations [music.futzle.com] album by various artists which was eloquently reviewed [nham.co.uk] by @inpc.
Then came two excellent single releases: Dancing and Kissing [bitplanes.nl] by Bitplanes (@bazkie) and Cities [sknob.fr] by @sknob.
The week was capped off perfectly with the launch of @meljoann’s latest album, Status [faircamp.meljoann.com], which included a well-attended live streamed launch party.
This super release week also marked the fourth week since NHAM launched as an online music platform for Fedi artists who distribute their music on Fair Platforms [nham.co.uk]. We’ve now been live for 28 full days and astonishingly we’re averaging unique daily visitor numbers well in to four figures already!
It’s testament to the thriving and growing indie music scene in the Fedi and on the fair platforms.
A huge thank you to everyone involved and everyone supporting, listening, watching and reading!
“Cities“ is also available on these fine, non-corporate sites:
• bandwagon.fm: https://bandwagon.fm/67cf11661908a27ff7b4b0d4
• mirlo.space: https://mirlo.space/sknob/release/cities
• My venerable hand-crafted site: https://sknob.fr/music/?cities
(Still debating whether I should keep posting on bandcamp. In the meantime, if you want to pay for Cities, you can do so on #Mirlo :)
"A compilation album, you say?"
Oh Yes.
"With songs such as 'You Are Not Alone' and 'Think Twice'?"
Yes, but it's neither Michael Jackson nor Celine Dion.
"What is it, then?"
It's called Comfy Collaborations and it is a collection of tunes brilliantly masterminded by @futzle to celebrate the much loved and forever missed Comfy Channel on @radiofreefedi. Each song is a collaboration between folk who forged their connection via RFF.

@DoctorDeathray Back Away is pretty overt, but it's also real and honest!
Spent a few hours last night tidying up 5 songs, which are part of The Midnight Detective Club project. Mostly sorting out some vocal issues and also instruments that were a bit too loud. Listened to them again this morning and probably just need to tweak the level of a couple of vocal tracks, master them to consistent levels and then they're done. The vocals are clean but at the same time a bit grungy, which I definitely prefer with my own vocals. Still a bit low key in terms of passion?!? of delivery, but that's me all over!
@patamystic @edyother It's truly my pleasure. I was just chatting with my comrade @benda last night about the importance of supporting indie & especially now fediverse artists.
It's imperative that we create and celebrate our own culture and not what the corpos slam down our throats. More now than ever.

@buffyleigh yes!
#AnalogRevolution specializes in them. Made inhouse by radical lefties in a small mountain town in northern Georgia!

On that note, it's #BandcampFriday!
