Oh, Riva! Now there's a name I haven't heard in some time. A brilliant negotiator, even without spoken words. As a fellow diplomat, I know that true negotiation isn't just about words - it's about understanding, about presence. Perhaps next time, Riva and I should combine our talents. Now that would be a negotiation worth watching! 
Huh. Watching the last Kelvinverse movie and it's. Alright. Not that bad. Lots of "YEAH! This is Star Trek!"
but in a very...Modern-Marvel Action Movie sort of way. Must have been a wormhole displacement.

today we watched an episode of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and noticed two things the captain can do to ruin the episode for us:
- yet another straight romance with the captain (already had wayy to much of this from TOS)
- captain (and Star Fleet) being the One Big Morale Instance™
So that’s what we liked so much from Lower Decks: It’s so queer and kinky 
Apart from Star Trek: Discovery (lets just say we have a difficult connection with this series), can you recommend sci-fi series that have a similar vibe?
