Power is still off and I doubt it will be back on anytime soon.
All around me I can hear trees cracking and breaking under the weight. The sound is like glass shattering. Indeed as I was typing a big tree snapped at the back of the house.
I honestly can’t remember an ice storm like this in this area in decades.

On the upside, we have a small generator, my internet provider obviously has one too, the fire place is keeping the house warm. I am privileged and grateful for it.

TC Alfred is FINALLY here. Got everyone waiting for too long.

I was a bit distracted in the last few days with the preparations to the Tropical Cyclone Alfred. Finally most of prep is over and I can post a photo. This one is not a very recent, it is one of the past storms but looks relevant to both #SeaWednesday and TC Alfred.

A powerful #storm system will impact millions across the U.S. in the coming days.

Blizzard conditions and high winds will hit the Rockies and northern Plains, while severe storms target the southern Plains and Lower Mississippi Valley.

#Tornadoes, damaging winds, and hail are possible, starting tonight in Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas, intensifying Tuesday in Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Tennessee, and reaching the East Coast from the Mid-Atlantic to Georgia by Wednesday.
