This is odd. Over the last few days my Android phone has occasionally randomly spoken out loud "I'm sorry, I don't understand."
I know that's Google Assistant but here's the thing: I have all the Assistant settings turned off, and even if I didn't it's happened when there is absolutely no possibility of it mis-hearing some other sound. Such as just now when I'm completely alone in the house with no TV/radio/etc playing. Or even at 2:30am when I'm fast asleep.
I know the answer is almost certainly "sorry, but a ghost lives in your phone now" but it's still weird. And it's quite annoying to be woken up at 2:30am by any kind of ghost.

I have something on my to-do list "load the gift" and I do not remember what that is (or if it was the #GoogleAssistant miss-hearing me I do not remember what it was supposed to be).
#GoogleAssistant can be such an annoyance. I had a routine set: When I say X → Send text "Y" to contact "Z". It worked well for over a year. Then it asked me to confirm which contact of two, presenting me with the same contact twice, the same number for both. I can work around that by telling it to send to the number instead of the contact name. But *now* it asks me to confirm the message. There is no saved effort with this routine anymore.
